Every single member of the medical team is ACLS certified. Every single one of us is experienced in accidents and emergencies.  We work hard. Especially the nurses probably too hard. There are no other medics, no consultants on call and countless laboratories when you need them. On the ship you are the judge, the jury and executioner. In the middle of the ocean you must be fast. You must believe in every other member of the team.  We train continuously, we eat and live together. In a recent emergency the nurse called for help the Lead Nurse. Seconds later the whole team was running towards the Infirmary. One of the crew members- the carpenter Tino helped us too. Thank you, Tino!

The recertification on the ship is longer, harder, one week process. Additionally you train sea and water resque. We have our daily work and other courses to coordinate and to find time for. There is a benefit too. We are a small group and the instructors can do the teaching more personalized, to address individual needs.
